Ofloxacin Eye Drops and Ointment - Uses, Dosage, Side effects

  • Instill 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2 to 4 hours for the first 2 days, then 4 times daily for an additional 5 days.

  • For the first two days, place 1 to 2 drops in the afflicted eye(s) every half-hour while awake and every 4 to 6 hours after retiring.
  • Instill 1 to 2 drops per hour while awake starting on day 3 for an additional 4 to 6 days.
  • Afterward, repeat 1-2 drops every 4 times until clinical cure.

Ofloxacin eye drops dose in the treatment of Bacterial conjunctivitis:

  • Children and Adolescents:

    • Initial:
    • For the first two days, put 1 to 2 drops in the afflicted eye(s) every 2-4 hours (Days 1 and 2).
    • After that, for a further five days, provide 1-2 drops four times each day (Days 3 through 7)

Ofloxacin Eye Drops dose in the treatment of Corneal ulcer:

  • Children and Adolescents:

    • Initial:

    • For the first two days, put 1 to 2 drops in the afflicted eye(s) every half-hour while you're up and every 4-6 hours at night (Days 1 and 2).
    • Then, for a further 4-6 days, administer 1-2 drops while awake every hour (Days 3 through 7 to 9).
    • After that, take 1 to 2 drops 4 times each day until you see a clinical improvement.

Warnings and precautions

  • Hypersensitivity reactions
