Emollients such as petrolatum and dermaphor are used to lubricate and moisturize the skin. It is used to prevent the skin from minor abrasions and enhance its healing. Common emoliients available include: Petrolatum, lanolin, mineral oil and dimethicone. Some moisturizers also contain urea (for topical use).
Emollients Uses:
- Emollients are used to moisten dry and itchy skin. It is used to lubricate and moisturize the skin.

How to administer Emollients?
