Are you a "Night Owl" or an "Early Bird"?

Author: Dr. Ahmed Farhan     Published: 1 year ago 2 Replies

"Night owls" are people who sleep late and wake up late while early birds are the opposite.

In a recent study published in the Annals of internal medicine, it was found that "night owls" have a 72% increased risk of developing diabetes compared to early birds.

Sleep early, wake up early!

People who rise early rely more on fat as an energy source, and are often more active in the day, than those who stay up later, meaning fat may build up more easily in night owls
