Female pt 38 yrs old h/o DVT left lower limb 12 yrs ago treated now present with left leg pain and swelling Dopplers USG shows complete recanalization of popliteal vessels and partial recanalization of Common femoral vein and SVF vessel . Now besides analgesia  what must be done in this pt?

She might have been partially treated before. In patients with unprovoked DVT, extensive bilateral DVT, and those at risk if developing rethrombosis, it is better to continue anticoagulation for one year followed by low dose prophylactic anticoagulants.
